Get ready for SIL 2019!

We’re gearing up for yet another Strategies in Light event which begins on February 27 in Las Vegas. This is definitely the place to be if you want to know what the future holds for the lighting business. SIL regularly proves to be one of the most interesting industry events around the globe. And its 20th anniversary edition will be no different.

Speaking of the future, it certainly looks promising for the Bluetooth mesh standard with a number of new qualified lighting products arriving to the market. Visit our booth #10110 to see some of them in action, powered by the Silvair Firmware. We’ll also gladly show you how easily you can retrofit spaces of any size using these devices and Silvair commissioning tools.

At the booth, you will also be able to learn how intuitive our commissioning process is. We’ll have a series of hands-on demonstrations several times a day. The schedule looks as follows:

Thursday (Feb 28): 10.15am, 12.15pm, 3.15pm, 5.15pm

Friday (Mar 1): 11am, 12.30pm

No reservation needed - just show up at one of the demonstrations and let us introduce you to a completely new commissioning experience!

Also, our CEO Rafal Han will take part in an exciting discussion panel that is to be held as part of SIL 2019. " Wired and Wireless Communications ” will be a 1.5 hour session on wired and wireless technologies for connected lighting products. Rafal and other notable participants (more details here) will discuss strengths and weaknesses of several different communication methods and protocols available. Don’t miss this one if you want to make better-informed decisions and effectively navigate this complex and rapidly developing environment. The panel starts on February 28 (Thursday), at 1:15 pm.

Last but not least, you will also have a chance to hear Simon Slupik, CTO of Silvair and Chair of the Bluetooth SIG’s Mesh Working Group, discuss practical aspects of integrating Bluetooth mesh into lighting products. He will present various possibilities, while also discussing good practices that should be followed when implementing Bluetooth mesh lighting networks. Simon’s 30-minute speech “Bluetooth mesh lighting network: a practical guide for lighting manufacturers” will be delivered as part of a longer discussion block that will take place in the IoT + Connected Lighting Pavilion on Feb 28 (Thursday), at 1:30 pm.
