The Bluetooth SIG has introduced the draft specification for the HVAC Integration NLC Profile, marking a significant step in extending Bluetooth NLC beyond lighting control.
Silvair welcomes Bluetooth® NLC as an important milestone in the development of a global and interoperable standard for wireless lighting control. Interoperability has always been our goal, and we have always emphasized that it’s the only way towards mass adoption. Bluetooth NLC is the last missing link required to achieve that goal. LSI’s client — one of the large petroleum chains — decided to test the AirLink Blue solution at several newly acquired sites that required lighting retrofits. The customer was looking for an easy-to-install, reliable, low-cost wireless control system capable of meeting energy code requirements
The project itself consisted of 3,685 Bluetooth mesh McWong TruBlu lighting controllers (installed in fixtures). Utilizing the TruBlu web app, EMC designed the project with 43 areas and 708 zones.
