Light+Building 2016: Silvair announces new customers and presents a full spectrum of smart lighting products [press release]

The leader in Bluetooth Mesh technology consolidates a strong start to 2016 with a remarkable presence at Light + Building.

Frankfurt, Germany, March 13, 2016 — Silvair, a provider of a complete smart lighting platform enabling manufacturers to provide enhanced lighting experience to their customers, is pleased to announce partnerships with Organic Response, Aquaform and Zamel. The 3 companies join the rapidly expanding Silvair ecosystem which already includes such brands as Girard Sudron, NodOn and Soraa. The company’s connected lighting solution based on Bluetooth Mesh is featured in a growing number of lighting products, many of which will be showcased at Light + Building 2016, the world’s leading trade fair for the lighting and building services industry.

“In cooperation with lighting industry experts, we’ve designed and developed an end-to-end solution that is suitable for virtually all commercial lighting applications. The variety of products featuring the Silvair technology which are showcased at Light + Building demonstrates the versatility and flexibility of our smart lighting platform. Based on groundbreaking Bluetooth Mesh technology, Silvair is fully scalable, future-proof and ready to meet rapidly growing market demand,” said Rafal Han, CEO of Silvair.

At Light + Building 2016, Silvair is providing robust wireless connectivity to manufacturers of luminaires, drivers and switches, while also presenting the first implementation of the Silvair Logic gateway, which allows data generated by smart devices to be sent to the cloud via Bluetooth Mesh.

Working lighting installations with a total of 160 Silvair-enabled sensor nodes will be presented at the Feilo Sylvania and LTS/Fagerhult booths, where the Silvair solution enables the adaptive, energy-efficient lighting control system designed by Organic Response to collect location-specific occupancy data from individual fixtures and push it to the cloud via the Silvair Logic gateway. The data can then be further analyzed in order to maximize energy savings in an office environment. A pilot project using the Silvair technology is already underway at the AGL head office, an A-grade, 6-star Green Star rated building in Melbourne, Australia.

Silvair Modules are capable of delivering both mesh network connectivity and customizable lighting firmware to a wide range of lighting products. At Zamel booth, L+B attendees will have a chance to see a unique Silvair-enabled wireless CCT switch for low-latency adjustment of light color temperature.

Girard Sudron will present connected track lights which – in addition to offering the standard set of Silvair wireless control features – will allow individual control of each light.

Going beyond smart lighting control, at both stands Silvair will also demonstrate some of the value-added services that can be delivered via connected luminaires with the beacon functionality that is enabled by Bluetooth. In cooperation with Zamel and Aquaform, Silvair will soon be deploying cutting edge beacon-via-lighting infrastructure at one of the top museums in Kraków, Poland.

As the leading contributor to the Bluetooth SIG Mesh Working Group, Silvair will ensure state-of-the-art security and full interoperability of its customers’ products by upgrading them over-the-air to the Bluetooth Mesh standard following its release later this year.
